Wikipedia for anit-advertising

Is anti-advertising a word.
A quick search on google, indicates that I am at the least, not an inventor of this term.
The page didn't make much sense to me, but there's a start.

So, the thought process started by a look at the 'Did you know' section on Wikipedia (English).
The article headline went "... that Grambling State running back Walter Dean was nicknamed "American Express" in reference to the credit card company?"
Not sure, what this exactly meant, but how about an article with headline ".... that Rajiv Gandhi, father of Rahul Gandhi, was accused of fraud, while being the then Prime Minister, in the Bofor's case."
Imagine the above article in the Wikipedia's 'Did you know' section, 20 years from now, when Rahul Gandhi has already served his 3rd term as the Prime Minister. That would be really cheeeeezzyyy.
From a 30000 feet view, the jargon that I hate most, this might look downright cynical (given that Rahul Gandhi turns out to be a good leader) and very bithyish (is that a word?) .
However, as the first link in this post says, this can act as the medium for consumers getting back at Corporates, who love to cheat consumers through 'advertising'.
So imagine now an article that goes "....every 3rd of Dell's packaged laptops has a harddrive crash within first year of operation". You know where I am going?

Saglach sampla

Suraitlya madirecha to shevatla themb
To gilalaa ani saglach sampla

Pailtiravarun baghitle jeevan-natya
Aaj tya natyacha pahila ank anubhavla
Hyachi Dehi Hyachi dola kahi prasang bhogle
Padada padla ani pahila ank tari sampla

Polalele sharir, bhajlela aatma
Vikhurlelya ichchha, andhukleli swapna
Madyaadhin chetna taallu pahaat hoti
Te satya ghadle, Te palaayan sample.

Prem hava hota janmabharache
tujhyakadun, phakt tujhyaach kadun
Priyaradhanaat tu gung hotis,
Smit tujhya othi hota,
khara khota khudaa jaane
Devaapaashi je hota
Te magana sampla.

Some nice new marathi songs

A not so great stage play - Jaadu teri najar - with Prashant Damle's superb act. Its entertaining, but what stands equally to Prashant Damle's acting, are a few really nice lyrical songs. A few lines from one of those songs.
Ti chaandani, yeta nabhi,
Tya bhavya kamaani khaali bheten mi.
I felt that this kind of modern melody was missing in marathi; It definitely brings a nice touch to the play. A definite air of freshness does flow through the viewer's senses. The particular play, in between, is an adaptation of Shakespeare's "A midsummer night's dream" by Ratnakar Matkari.
Some other songs from the play are also nice.
Vedi jhaale Pishi jhaale mi premat, mi premat!
Buduniya paar gele mi premat, mi premat!
I think its about the simplicity of thought. Love being so simple, is soothing.

The next song which I think should be part of this list, my list :), is from the film "Yanda Kartavya aahe" filmed on Ankush Chaudhari. Nothing much to say about the film, didnt see it much, dont think its that fabulous.
Kadhi dur dur, Kadhi tu samor,
Man haravate aaj ka.
Ka he ase, Vhave ase,
Hi aas lage jiva.
Kase savru re, avru re, mi svatahla
Dise swapn ka he jaagtana hi mala
Aabhaas ha , aabhas ha, chhalto tula, chalto mala...
aabhaas ha, aabhas ha....
The song is picturised very similar to  "Tujhe dekha to ye jaana sanam" from DDLJ.

...will add to this

KandePohe

Nice lyrics, music and vocals - Avdhoot Gupte , Sunidhi Chauhan
Neither of the 3 is best, but the result is good.

Bhijalelya kshananna aathavanichi fodani,
haladi sathi aasuslele halwe mann aani kaanti
aayushya he chulivarlya, kadhaitale, kandepohe

Naatyanchya hya bajaratun vikretyanchi daati,
aani mhane to varacha julavi shatjanmachya gaathi,
roj nataave roj sajaave dharun aasha khoti,
paane mithuni lajaalu pari punha ughadanya saathi,
aayushya he chulivarlya, kadhai tale, kandepohe

Durdeshichya rajkumaraachi swapne pahaataanna,
kunitari yaave haluch maagun dhyani mani nasataana,
nakalat aapan haravun jave swatas mag japtanna
aayushya he chulivarlya, kadhai tale, kandepohe

Bhutakaalchya dhuvun akshada tandul kele jyanni,
aani sajavala khota rukhawat bhadyachya bhandyani,
bhavishya aata rangavanyacha attahasahi tyancha
hatavarchya mehndivar otun limbache paani
aayushya he chulivarlya, kadhai tale, kandepohe

Weekend-o-sophy

Returning to blogging after a really long time. Dont think anyone has read any of the earlier posts. I havent yet received any "stop this blog" messages, which convinces me.
I spent the entire weekend. Not really important what I spent it on, but its noteworthy that its "spent". Friday evening was blessed. "Kande Pohe" being served at my house, cooked by people I barely know (my roomy's friends) and without a person-second effort from me. Yeah, weekend or no weekend, verbiage like person-second , although an improvisation, has stuck on my tongue. "Kande Pohe" were good. There was a side dish of Kebabs and Potato vada, from the local Indian Store.
And this weekend ends with a "Dhoom". Yes, the action packed, thriller, with a lot of non-sense. But thats what the tired mind and a worried brain demands.
Before the weekend, there are aspirations for some rest, some entertainment, some unfinished tasks to be completed. During the weekend, its rest, lots of entertainment whose relief to the mind is ephemeral and a lot of procrastination. After the weekend, its a lot of abuse : "Pranav , how dare you blow away your weekends over such petty entertainment; Have you no worries for your future?".
This is a story that has repeat shows, each weekend.
"Lessons learnt" are forming a library of themself.
